Importance of Ongoing Skill Development

I’ve been reflecting on how crucial it’s for us as court reporters to continuously sharpen our skills. Recently, I attended a workshop on translating legal jargon into plain language, which really highlighted the need for accuracy in transcription. I’m curious if others have found specific courses or resources that helped elevate their reporting skills.

You’re spot on about skill sharpening — i took a course on voice recognition technology last year, and it was a game changer for editing speeds. It’s like learning to ride a bike again, but this time with a turbo boost! @JaneDoe mentioned a great online resource — I highly recommend checking it out.

I totally agree! That workshop sounds valuable — i took an online course on legal terminology that helped me a lot with accuracy.
